PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha, optional
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 head butter lettuce
Directions
  • Step 1 1. In a large cast iron skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Step 2 2. Add the ground chicken and cook for 3–5 minutes, breaking it up as it browns. Once cooked through, drain any excess fat.
  • Step 3 3. Add the garlic, onion, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and Sriracha. Stir everything together and cook for 1–2 minutes, until the onions turn translucent.
  • Step 4 4. Mix in the green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 5 To serve, scoop a few spoonfuls of the chicken mixture into the centre of each lettuce leaf and enjoy taco-style.
