Whip up this Easy Gravy in less than 15 minutes! It’s rich, hearty, and full of flavour—perfect for pouring over mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or any weeknight meal that needs a cozy boost.

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup gluten free all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons tamari or coconut aminos
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken stock
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Directions
  • Step 1 Place the olive oil in a saucepan and heat it until it’s warm enough to whisk in the flour. Cook over medium heat, whisking frequently, for 1-2 minutes or until it begins to take on a golden brown colour.
  • Step 2 Add the spices (garlic powder, onion powder, thyme & pepper) and whisk them into the mixture.
  • Step 3 Pour in the tamari or coconut aminos and give it one more whisk.
  • Step 4 Gradually whisk in the vegetable or chicken stock and almond milk until the mixture is smooth without any lumps.
  • Step 5 Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking for approximately 5 minutes or until it thickens, making sure to whisk frequently.
  • Step 6 Pour over mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or any weeknight meal that needs a cozy boost.
